Lyn Boone Memorial Scholarship Program
While the HR Symposium serves as a valuable educational and networking forum, our main goal is to further advance the development of the Human Resources profession through sponsorship of The Lyn Boone Memorial Scholarship program. The HR Symposium is a non-profit organization, and our planning team is made up of 100% volunteers. That means these scholarships are made possible through generous donations and your registration fees.
To date, over $400,000 has been awarded to deserving students pursuing HR-related degrees. In 2016 alone, we awarded $39,000 in scholarships -- a new record!
The scholarship is open to qualifying students majoring in undergraduate level human resources (or related fields), as well as current human resources professionals who are continuing their education by obtaining additional HR certification or are in a graduate level program majoring in human resources, organizational development, or business administration. This scholarship program is only available to students living in Northern California, but they can be obtaining a degree from a university anywhere in the United States. Newly certified professionals, currently enrolled students, as well as December 2016 graduates and May 2017 graduates, are eligible to apply.
Please refer to the 2017 Scholarship Application Information & Instructions, which includes required components of the Scholarship Application Package.
