Q2: When does the Symposium start?
Registration opens at 7:30 am, and the Symposium will begin about 8:30.
Q3: Who should attend the Symposium?
Any Human Resources professional seeking the knowledge, motivation, and insight to expand their career would benefit from attending the Symposium. Whether you're looking to be inspired by innovations happening around the Valley, learn more about HR practices and solutions, network with colleagues, or reconnect with old friends, the HR Symposium is something you won't want to miss.
Q4: Can I substitute someone else for my registration?
Yes, you can! On the day of the event, changes can be made at the registration table. Just send your colleague in your place, and we'll work it out.
Q5: I'm not sure if I can attend the event? Is it possible to "walk in" instead of registering ahead of time?
You can always try! We have a seating limit of 600, so we recommend that you register in advance. However, any remaining seats will be made available on the day of the Symposium at the regular (non-early bird) price.
Q6: How do I pay?
Q7: Where does the money for the HR Symposium go?
All proceeds from the HR Symposium go to Human Resources Inc. and are used for college scholarships to students studying in the Human Resources field. The HR Symposium has so far awarded over $400,000 in scholarships!
Q8: Are any of the funds for salaries?
No! We are a non-profit organization, run entirely by volunteers. The Human Resources, Inc. Board, the HR Symposium Committee members, and all of the speakers and sponsors freely donate their time. Every dollar received from registration and sponsorship goes toward scholarships and putting on the following year's event.
